Due to the introduction of smartphone cameras, the number of digital photographs taken every day has vastly increased. While once relegated to printed photo albums and slide shows, sharing of photographs now takes place instantly through digital social media and applications such as email, messaging, and dedicated web sites.
The Shutterbugs at Canal Walk activity is dedicated to helping its members learn to take better photographs, use the features of their cameras, organize, share, and archive their digital photograph collection, and post-process their images to improve them.
In addition to monthly general meetings (3rd Monday of each month at 7:00PM in the main CW ballroom), topical presentations are given by members and outside professional photographers. Field trips are organized to local events and interesting sites depending on the season.
