Saturday, April 21, 2018 - Tapestry - The Carol King Songbook

Performed by Suzanne O. Davis and her Trio.  Suzanne recreates the sound of a 1970's Carole King concert.

You will be transported back to the iconic image of her multi-million selling album of 1971.  Impeccable
attention to detail is taken in recreating a respectful and accurate musical presentation of piano and vocals.

8:00 pm in the Ballroom (doors open at 7:40 pm)  Cost: $30 per person.

Wednesday, April 25, 2018 - The Nerd

Willum’s birthday party gets a jolt of hilarious excitement when Rick, a fellow ex-soldier who saved Willum's life, stops by for a visit.

When he realizes that Rick is socially inept and will overstay his welcome with a vengeance, Willum must put together an outrageous plan to rid himself of this wacky GI who came to dinner. A rollicking farce from the author of the award-winning comedy "The Foreigner."

The audience never stops laughing!

Sunday, May 20, 2018 - Aboriginal Dot Art on a Picture Frame

Dot paintings are now internationally recognized as unique andintegral to Australian Aboriginal Art.
Aboriginal artworks painted in acrylic are a beautiful blend of traditional and contemporary art. 

The dot technique gives the painting an almost 3D effect.  See an example of this art technique
in the display cabinet across from the ballroom.

Time: 1:00 - 3:00 pm in the Arts & Crafts room.
Cost: $7.00 per person.  Includes supplies and a frame (frame sizes vary).

Monday, June 25, 2018 - AARP Driver Safety Program

Sponsored by the Canal Walk Men’s Club
This course consists of 2 three-hour sessions. You must attend both sessions to be certified for completion of the course.
The course is conducted by a trained AARP instructor, and is geared toward the needs of older drivers. Attendance at the class improves your driving skills, stresses safety, provides for a discount on your auto insurance and can remove 2 points from your driving record.
(You don’t need to be a member of AARP).
The class has been scheduled for: Wednesday and Thursday, June 25th & 26th, 2018
6:00 p.m. to 9:00:00 p.m.
A check must be made out to AARP dated June 25th, 2018.
You will also need your NJ Driver’s License on the day of class.
This course will be given in the Canal Walk Clubhouse, Crafts Room
The fee is $15 for members of AARP and $20 for non-members.
