Monday, June 18, 2018 - Trip to Harrah's Resort and Casino

 

We have scheduled a trip to Harrah’s Resort & Casino in Atlantic City.

The bus will be leaving at 9 a.m. from the Clubhouse and will be back at approximately 7 p.m.

The cost per person is $25, and you will receive $30 free slots play.

Tuesday, June 19, 2018 - Evening Performance - Swan Lake at the Met

Don't miss the ballet that defines the standards of the Company, tests its dancers, and ennobles the
spirit of the audience.

Cost: $106 per person.  Be at the Clubhouse at 3:15 pm for a 3:30 Jitney departure.
Curtain Time: 7:30 pm  Return to the Clubhouse at approximately 11:00 pm.

Wednesday, June 20, 2018 - Matinee Performance Swan Lake at the Met

Swan Lake remains the quintessential ballet.  The romantic fable of ill-fated passion, dreamlike
transformation, and ultimate forgiveness, set to Tchaikovvsky's glorious score.

Cost: $86 per person.  Be at the Clubhouse at 9:45 am for a 10:00 am Jitney departure.

Curtain time: 2:00 pm.  Return to the Clubhouse at approximately 6:00 pm

Bus will leave Canal Walk at 9 a.m. and drop off at the Marriot Marquis.
Bus will return to Canal Walk at ~ 6:30 p.m.

Monday, June 25, 2018 - AARP Driver Safety Program

Sponsored by the Canal Walk Men’s Club
This course consists of 2 three-hour sessions. You must attend both sessions to be certified for completion of the course.
The course is conducted by a trained AARP instructor, and is geared toward the needs of older drivers. Attendance at the class improves your driving skills, stresses safety, provides for a discount on your auto insurance and can remove 2 points from your driving record.
(You don’t need to be a member of AARP).
The class has been scheduled for: Wednesday and Thursday, June 25th & 26th, 2018
6:00 p.m. to 9:00:00 p.m.
A check must be made out to AARP dated June 25th, 2018.
You will also need your NJ Driver’s License on the day of class.
This course will be given in the Canal Walk Clubhouse, Crafts Room
OPEN TO CANAL WALK RESIDENTS
The fee is $15 for members of AARP and $20 for non-members.

Saturday, July 21, 2018 - Imperial Brass: Music From the Movies

This outstanding band with its 33 professional musicians will appear with special guest soloist, Warren Vache', who is the country’s most illustrious cornet player. Some of the movie themes on the program are from My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, Chicago (All that Jazz), Superman, Laura, The Godfather, An Affair to Remember. Over the last two decades, this brass band ensemble has received acclaim for their varied styles. The group has played to packed audiences in the Great Auditorium in Ocean Grove, a venue to which they have been invited numerous times. Each time we have brought this brass band to our ballroom we have always had a full house. What a great way to spend a summer evening; get your reservations in early so you don’t miss out.

Sunday, September 30, 2018 - Celtic Classic Festival & Games

The Irish American Club is sponsoring this trip to Bethlehem, PA on Sunday, Sept. 30th.
Open to Irish American Club members now, and open to the community on July 15th,
but limited to the first 44 people to register.
