Tuesday, July 17, 2018 - Mobile Jewelry Service

CW welcomes Norm Torgerson from Vivigem LLC, to the clubhouse in order to offer some services with jewelry. Should you have a need to have your jewelry fixed, battery replaced, restringing of pearls, this is the time to take advantage of his visit.

Place: Clubroom, Main Clubhouse.

Time: 11am - 2 pm

Thursday, July 19, 2018 - Bagels and Belly Laughs

Two events, July 19th and August 16th. Cost: $3 per person, per session
10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Freedom Clubhouse. 

We all know that laughter is the best medicine.  Laughing can give your immune
system a boost, ease pain, relax arteries, improve memory and offer your torso
a mini workout.  Whether you giggle politely or guffaw till your face hurts, don't miss
out on this, or both sessions, of just plain fun.  Enjoy a cup of
coffee and a bagel with a "schmear".  Bring at least 2 jokes to share with the group.

Limited to 24 participants per session.

Saturday, July 21, 2018 - Imperial Brass: Music From the Movies

This outstanding band with its 33 professional musicians will appear with special guest soloist, Warren Vache', who is the country’s most illustrious cornet player. Some of the movie themes on the program are from My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, Chicago (All that Jazz), Superman, Laura, The Godfather, An Affair to Remember. Over the last two decades, this brass band ensemble has received acclaim for their varied styles. The group has played to packed audiences in the Great Auditorium in Ocean Grove, a venue to which they have been invited numerous times. Each time we have brought this brass band to our ballroom we have always had a full house. What a great way to spend a summer evening; get your reservations in early so you don’t miss out.

Friday, September 21, 2018 - RUBY RAKOS

Presented by the Clubhouse Activities Committee

Ruby Rakos is a jazz singer from Morris County and is a graduate of the Professional Performing Arts School in NYC. She played pie-eating ballet girl Tracey Atkinson in the Broadway company of Billy Elliot for two years.  She has also starred as Judy Garland in several productions of the musical Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz, about Judy’s early years at MGM and her journey to Oz, at the Flat Rock Playhouse in North Carolina and at the Goodspeed Opera House in Connecticut. She recently performed in the world premiere of the play The House on the Hill at the Contemporary American Theater Festival in West Virginia this past July.

Time:  8:00 p.m.

The Irish American Club is sponsoring this trip to Bethlehem, PA on Sunday, Sept. 30th.
Open to Irish American Club members now, and open to the community on July 15th,
but limited to the first 44 people to register.
